We’ve spent the last week inside mostly because the I caught some nasty bug and being pregnant on top of that has made it difficult to function. We did manage to sneak outside for a few moments to catch in some bike riding before we hid back inside and watched a million movies.

We can’t seem to get away from riding rides this summer. Cody had to work a booth at the fair days for his work so we spent most of it with him but made sure to enjoy all the festivities as well. Here are the boys riding the tea cups but I couldn’t help but add in this photo of Cody and Wyatt. I think it sums up how much fun they have with each other.

Gunner: Never can figure out how to shoot the gun. He just holds it and makes the sound a gun makes instead.
Wyatt: rode that big roller coaster for the first time ever with his dad and he didn’t even cry.

“A portrait of my kids, once a week, every week in 2015”
Week 24: Wyatt: Giving me the death stare. Why would I dare take a picture of him wearing floaties in public. Gunner always stealing Dad’s hat.
Week 23: We got season passes to the Lagoon Amusement Park. So they spend most of their days on rollercoasters.

‘“A portrait of my kids, once a week, every week in 2015”
After the Wyatt’s last day of kindergarten I picked him up and we headed to SLC for my father in law’s memorial event that was being held for those who donated their bodies to science. We of course had to explore SLC afterwards and we find this cool hole in the wall pizza joint that had amazing art work plastered all over the building that we took our pizza slices with us as when walked around taking it all in.
We love finding hidden gems. (more pictures to come.)

“A portrait of my kids, once a week, every week in 2015”
Cody got me a new lens for Mothers day. Tamron 24-70 mm f/2.8 and I am in love. I of course had to take it out that day and snap these littles playing on our swing set in the backyard. Needless to say Mothers day was over the top for me this year.
How was yours?

Wyatt: I have been trying to get Wyatt to not always look at me with that fake “cheese” smile when he sees me pull out my camera. I love the natural candid moments I experience with him but when he stops doing it and poses for me and takes away all the fun. So now I get the “pretend not to look at mom shuffle” Ugh.
Gunner: Is fighting with me to always be in control. He is determined to be in time out at least 5 times or more a day. It’s a real struggle that I am not use too. Wyatt was such a rule follower that I’d say no once and he’d never do it again. Gunner on the other hand is a true pistol. I say no and he thinks its so funny and does it again and again. He breaks all the rules.

Utah weather is unpredictable. We went from spring snow one day to two days later spring. Crazy.

Lets talk about a city wide Easter egg hunt. It was awful the end. But you cant go wrong with a crying picture of the Easter bunny. I guess that makes up for it.

“A portrait of my kids, once a week, every week in 2015”
Gunner: He loves to swing. He’ll spend hours swinging on any swing we can find if I let him. He usually ends up in a crying fit when we take him off it to go home from the park.
Wyatt: Looking to big. He tells me every day “Mom, I’m almost in 1st grade.” Just stop. Stop growing. I do find myself enjoying the outings we have with each other alone lately though because he’ll have actual conversations with me and hearing him talk boggles my mind. He was just a baby like yesterday.

Week 11: Sometimes you just need to take the kids to adventure parks and let them climb everywhere.
Week 12: We started our add on! So the boys have been having a blast playing in the dirt with their trucks.
Week 13: Surprised the boys and took them to the castle park after a long day cleaning up vomit from little Gunner. From this picture you’d never know that he spent the morning throwing up.
